For the good and correct installation of every type of flooring you should be very careful about the base. If it isn't even or dry or if it is cracked this will inevitably be a problem during the installation proces or afterwards.

No matter of the type of the base there are several requirements that should be met.

1. The surface should be clean and there should not be any spots from paint, oil, plaster, etc. Cracks are not desirable - if there are any they should be filled in advance.

2.  If the existing base has some old covering - carpet or linoleum - it would be good if they are removed.

3. The damaged parts of the base are removed and the gaps are filled with appropriate materials.

The self-leveling ground coat installation includes the following actions:

1. The base is cleaned with an industrial vacuum cleaner.

2. Application of deeply penetrating primer ( when the old ground coat is old or dry it is desirable to apply 2-3 layers of the primer ).

3. Laying the self-leveling ground coat.

4. After drying up (≈ 48 hours ), for better smoothness of the surface, it is grinded with profesional grinding machine and the respective sandpaper.

5. Afterwards it is cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and prime is applied.

When we finish these operations we have perfectly aligned, smooth floor ready for installation of any kind of flooring.
