Because each fibre is smooth, straight and upright, anchored firmly into a waterproof backing, soil is easily released through ordinary vacuuming, and when intensive cleaning is required, Flotex is completely washable. Flotex is approved by the British Allergy Foundation. By reducing the amount of allergens in the atmosphere, allowing for their easy removal by vacuuming, Flotex is proven to have a positive impact on the lives of allergy sufferers. Thanks to Sanitized®, a highly effective active antimicrobial treatment which is compounded into the backing, Flotex also offers consistent protection against bacteria including MRSA and E.coli, moulds such as athlete’s foot and the development of stale odours. These features mean that Flotex tiles are ideal for public buildings such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and schools, in addition to general commercial areas, hotel foyers, airports and other heavy traffic areas.
Flotex tiles are available in a stunning range of colourways, styles and designs and can be used to create a flawless expanse of colour to match or complement any existing design scheme. For additional creative options, a Design Solutions service is available. By weight, Flotex tiles are over 40% pre-consumer recycled content, as a result of our recycling line that uses waste carpet materials for its backing material. Flotex production is ISO14001 accredited, demonstrating good environmental management.
