Vinyl flooring
There are several basic requirements that need to be met before the installation of the vinyl floorings:
1. Requirements for the base: dry ( <3%СМ ), clean from dust and any building waste, even and leveled. Installation over putty, that is partially or entirely ripped off or uneven. As a rule, vinyl floorings require flat and even base.
2. The temperature in the rooms should be between +15 and +25 ºС
3. In the room there should be no other building processes obstructing the flooring installation.
The installation of the flooring includes the following opperations:
1. Delivering the materials to the building site.
2. The materials stay in the room 24 hours at a temperature of +15°C to +29°C. The same applies to the adhesive and primer. During the installation of the flooring in the room the temperature should be the same - from +15°C to +29°C. The humidity should not exceed 75%.
3. Cleaning the base from dirt and other contaminants.
4. Unpacking the rolls and checking for any defects and color variations.
5. Cutting out the flooring. After the cutting it is left to settle (acclimatize).
6. Laying the flooring and gluing with adhesive.
7. Construction of welds - the joints between the flooring are filled with welding rod using welding gun with hot air. For each type of flooring there is an appropriate type and color of welding rod.
Vinyl flooring requires a flat, even and solid basis. If the base does not have the necessary strength, or is not well cleaned, flat or if it is wet, this will lead to problems with the flooring that is laid over it - there is danger of breaking, swelling, etc..
