Most of the floorings need even, dry, dust-free, smooth and robust base. This requirement is applied for vinyl floorings, linoleum, carpet tiles, laminates and parquets, rubber floorings. Self-leveling putty is necessary in these cases. It eliminates all kinds of unevennesses. The self-leveling putties vary in their thicknesses - up to 2 mm, up to 5 mm, even up to 3 cm. In most of the stores you are going to be told that an ordinary laminate base is enough for unevennesses of up to 2 mm. But that is not going to happen. Just think about it, how can you even an uneven flooring base with a laminate base?
We can generalize the following stages of the laying of the self-leveling putty:
- cleaning the base of dirt and contaminations with an industrial vacuum-cleaner;
- laying a deep-penetrating primer;
- the stirred prepared in advance mixture is layed on using a mortar-board;
- wneh it is dry it is grinded with a grinding machine and cleaned again with an industrial vacuum-cleaner;
- primer is layed on and the base is ready for flooring installarion.
