The heterogeneous vinyl floorings are composed by several layers:
- transparent upper polyurethane layer, which is flexible and in the same time hard enough to protect the flooring from wearing out and damage.

The flooring thickness varies between 2 and 4 mm. Of course there are vinyl floorings designed for home areas, but they are different from those used in the public areas. They are softer, thicker and are not as wear resistant.
